We took our first roadtrip as a family this weekend to KC to celebrate lots of occassions! More pictures to come, but here is the first installment... Kayla's trip to the emergency room... She fell and hit her head on a marble pillar at Church and had to get 7 stitches! She was quite a trooper though!

Here they were numbing the area topically prior to the actual application of anesthetic by needle.... Happy as can be...

She was very tired by the time the emergency room was finished. They did a great job, were very efficient and took care of us right away. She sang songs with Daddy in between crying while they were stitching her.

Big sister Alexis was very supportive and concerned with her little sisters boo boo. They both got cute little bears sewn by volunteers for the hospital from the Doctor.

Close up after the traumatic stitching.

Back in our room at the retreat center, Alexis wanted tom ake sure Kayla was alright.

Of course she was and running around as soon as possible!
I finally got to see the stitching, Alexis and Mommy did laps around the hospital while they were working on Kayla. They said more than likely she would have a scar, but that's alright. She was a trooper and is doing just fine now!
