Valentine AM party...

Valentine Pre school party in the morning....

Alexis with her friend from last quarters preschool.. she was very upset at first (somewhat of Mommy's doing) that she would be the only girl in her class this semester, but her friend from last semester came to visit at the party (we were fortunate enough to have playdate with her last weekend also!) Alexis was very excited to see her....

I didn't get any other pictures from our Valentine's night (Daddy was going to be working)... he got called in early due to the crisis at NIU. Our prayers and thoughts are with those that were deeply affected by this crisis.

Mommy and the girls making Cupcakes for Alexis Valentines Day Party...

They had lots of fun helping Mommy make the batter before their naps.... Then Daddy left for work and more fun was in store.....
Alexis asked me if we could make Daddy a big heart cookie like we did last year... I didn't even remember that we did that, good thing she did.... so luckily we had all of the ingredients and were able to make a big heart shaped cookie....

while mommy was cleaning up dinner, I let the girls finish decorating the cupcakes for Alexis class and her friends... Kayla got in trouble because she just kept eating the frosting, but Alexis finished the rest of them by herself....
"look mom, I finished all of the cupcakes, can i eat one now?"

As you can tell the girls had a great time dancing at the Daddy Daughter dance! I guess they boogied like that for most of the night!

Family Night Out February 2008

The girls were still so exhausted from Friday nights dance (Alexis) and hanging out with cousins (Kayla), and a big playdate with an old friend on Saturday morning, that we had to wake them up from their naps on Saturday afternoon to take them out to dinner and to the mall...

Kayla was snoring pretty loudly....
Alexis was just getting ready to wake up.
The girls were pretty good at the restaurant (well atleast that is what we were told by the wait staff and some passer byers), but it always seems different to parents I guess... Hanging out with Daddy waiting for our food...

I let Kayla play with the camera while we were waiting... she got a pretty good picture of the table clothe.... Then off to the mall

Girls.... already shopping for jewelry together! Alexis did a great job holding her sisters hand while we walked at the mall so Kayla didn't get lost! It was a great family night out!

Daddy Daughter Dance

My Brother and my niece were nice enough to invite Tony and Alexis to a Daughter Daddy Dance last weekend... They had a lot of fun with their Daddy's! My favorite thing was when Daddy took Alexis to atleast 10 different stores trying on dresses until she found one that went all the way down to her toes like princess!

The girls pose for pictures together - Kayla felt pretty left out and wanted to be in the pictures too! When she gets a little older, Daddy can take both of them!


Daddy said Alexis danced up a storm most of the night! She was exhausted by the time they got home, but still had a huge smile on her face!
They got to make beautiful Valentine's necklaces with their Daddy's....
And of course had lots of treats!

Basketball Game

I got to take the girls out to my nephews basket ball game this weekend, his team was playing out in my neck of the woods! The girls had a great time, Alexis can't wait to go see another game.

My nephew in the blue, with the ball ready to drive in for a basket... he is a very good athlete and had an awesome game... I think he scored 18 points for the team!

That's what Neighbors are for! and a night out..

Our neighbor had fun shoveling all the snow onto our front porch.... after Tony had shoveled a mountain of snow onto his car. We deserved it and it was all in good fun!

Mommy and Daddy got to go out for a date.... I think it's been over 3 months since our last date... wow how time flies! Kayla wanted to wear Mommy's shoes... she did pretty good keeping her balance in my heels.
I was very excited to be wearing something other than my sweats or my most comfy pj's ever (that Tony got me for Christmas). And we had a great night out at a wonderful Italian restaurant.
