Friday 6/30/06 Dekalb Airport

Friday Morning Alexis, Kayla and I were invited to go along with our neighbor and her son Nathan to the DeKalb Airport for a tour and to see the planes in action! We had a great time... it was all very interesting to Suzanne and I, but the kids had the best time running around and sitting in the plane!

Both Nathan and Alexis were fascinated with this wind sock... which just so happened to be in the field from the Choo Choo train, or Thommy Tracks as Alexis calls it!
Nathan is so sociable! He had a great time playing around with Tom, the Airport Manager and giving him 5! I think he got up to a 100!
Mommy and Alexis flying the plane... Alexis was not too happy sitting in the plane at first, but once she got out and got to run around, explore the airport and warm up a little bit, she wanted to get back in the plane!
Nathan in the "Looping Plane"... I think I see a future for him!
Suzanne with Alexis and Nathan, corraling the kids... I think I was taking care of a fussy Kayla at this time!

Nathan and Suzanne learning how to fly with Tom....
Back to the wind sock! They loved it and both wanted to reach it! Alexis got up on Suzanne's shoulders and tried to reach for it... it was pretty funny, she does the same thing with the moon at night!
Mommy and Alexis flying the plane!
It was a beautiful day outside!
The kids had so much fun running around the Hangar, we had to watch them carefully, their heads were just at the height of most of the wings on the planes!
We had a great time, and I would definitely do it again!
