Christmas Day - 12/25/06

Christmas Day after opening presents at our house and eating breakfast together as a family, we went to Nana and Pa's again for lunch!

Alexis cousin MacKenzie helping her open her present from Nana and Pa...

Kayla enjoying one of her presents from Nana and Pa... she truly is a bouncing baby girl!

Daddy helping Alexis open another present from Nana and Pa... she loves to paint... Nana and Pa got her this art easel (it will go in her room), it is something she will hopefully not outgrow! Neither Mommy or Daddy are very artistic, but maybe she'll be!

After Nana and Pa's we went back to Grandma and Papa's for Dinner... This is me with 7 of my siblings that were there at the time while we were getting dinner ready and Mom...
Maximus Holte (the new dog) came over for dinner too... the kids all loved him!
Max takes a nap with my brother Kenny...
Chelsey and Holly playing with Alexis... they are so good with her, they helped play with her and keep an eye on her while Mommy got to help with dinner and Daddy got to watch Kayla and some football!
Alexis (one of the last calm moments before her meltdown!)
Kayla with Papa... she loves hearing him sing to her!Kayla got Grandma's hair! So innocent....
Anthony poses by all of the stockings.... all 15 kids, inlaws and grandchildren! The turkey's finally done and ready to be carved....
The food is ready and we are all ready to eat!
I didn't get many pictures of Christmas evening... by about 6pm Alexis had enough and was throwing a fit... 2 days without a nap and 5 hours of sleep at night, I guess you can't expect much more! She was misbehaving so badly, she didn't even get to open her presents and Grandma and Papa's... she finally fell asleep at about 6:30pm, we tried to get her back up at about 8pm to open presents before we went home, but she was still too cranky... She went back to sleep and slept until 8am this morning! She was very exhausted (so were Mommy and Daddy)!

This morning, she woke up very refreshed and was able to play with some of her new toys.... she loves her new art easel from Nana and Pa!

Christmas Morning - Our Home - 12/25/06

The girls did finally fall asleep on the way home from Church and we didn't get to have Alexis see the cookies and carrots left for Santa and his reindeer... Mommy forgot the milk and we didn't have Alexis write a note to Santa this year, we'll remember next year! It was after 1am by the time we got home... Mommy and Daddy were pretty tired!
Our Christmas tree... all ready for Santa to stop by since the girls were so good all year (well mostly good!)
Our tree in the morning after Santa stopped by and left some presents for the girls!Alexis tip toes down the stairs to see if Santa stopped by....

Checking out the stockings...
Alexis going for the goods....
She checks out her kitchen that Santa left for her... Santa leaves the toys unwrapped and out of the package for the girls.... it's actually very nice then we don't have to put them together in the morning!
Kayla playing with her new train (one of Mommy's favorite toys!) Kayla loves the big animals and the music it makes.
Kayla, just happy to be by a plastic bag... she was so cute unwrapping presents! I didn't think she would really get into it this year, but she loved taking the paper off and playing with the toys!
Alexis checking out her new baby doll!
She loves her new Dora cash register that talks!
She noticed what was behind her kitchen.... Daddy made Mommy a new bed! Headboard and footboard! Tony told me he was making something for Alexis that he didn't want me to see (he started last week!), but he was actually making me a new bed! It is beautiful and he did a great job, Mommy loves it!
Alexis on her new riding toy...
Kayla, of course she wants to taste the paper before taking it off of the package!
Alexis with her new matching game from Mommy and Daddy...
Kayla with some new toys from Mommy and Daddy...
Her new teething rattle... she actually preferred her new rattle over her bottle!
Alexis got some new paints and paint brushes... she was very excited about them, she loves to paint!
Daddy was very excited to get new pants for work!
Alexis wanted to wear her new "wild, wild" boots (that's what she calls them!) she got them from Uncle Mark and she wants to wear them all of the time now!
Last but not least.... Daddy wrapped this up for Mommy! It's an airplane, he's sending me away for a couple of days in February to Arizona so I can see my sisters out there!

Stop #3 - Christmas Eve Mass - 12/24/06

After seeing Santa at Grandma and Papa's and Nana and Pa's, we were fortunate enough to be able to go see my Dad sing in the Choir at 10:30pm Mass. I was foolishly thinking that the girls would sleep through it.... not a chance! They were both wide awake the whole time! Alexis was testing the waters and misbehaving a little before Church started, but Daddy had a talk with her and she was pretty good the rest of the time!

My nephew Justin wanted me to take his picture! He's a cutie! He looks just like my Dad sometimes!
Teh beautiful Nativity Set at Church. Alexis was very excited to see Baby Jesus and wanted to sing him Happy Birthday!

Stop #2 - Christmas Eve - 12/24/06

Then we were off to see Nana and Pa (and Santa again!).... Everyone eating waiting for Santa....
Kayla, our little present! She was such a good girl, especially for only having a 15 minute nap!The kids playing with Kayla while waiting for Santa... Alexis of course was taking Kaylas new rattle away from her.
Alexis waiting in the toy room to see if Santa will come again!
She got to see Santa again, she was very excited! Auntie Kelly had to help her because Mommy had Kayla and was trying to take pictures of course!
Kayla finally crashed right in time for us to wake her up and get her ready for Stop #3, Church!
The girls all ready and waiting to go see Papa sing in the Choir at 10:30pm Christmas Mass.

Christmas Eve - Stop #1 12/24/06

We had a very busy couple of days, with a few toddler meltdowns, but a great Christmas over all! First stop on Christmas Eve was to my parents house to see Santa!
Some of the kids waiting to see Santa...
Kayla hanging out by the tree... she looked like such an angel to Mommy!
Her eyes matched her dress!
Mommy and Kayla

Kids still waiting for Santa.... I'm not sure why, but my camera turned a lot of my pictures from the past couple of days pink! I couldn't fix it with editing, so I left it for now!

The Christmas Eve picture....
