Veggie Garden

Even though it was quite cold out last weekend, we managed to get the vegetable plants planted in the box Daddy built for us...
The wind was pretty fierce... All of our hair was blowing all over!
The wind was so bad I couldn't even see Alexis as I was handing her the next plant to be planted!
She did a great job digging the holes... from what I could see under my wind blown hair!

Alexis thinks she's ready to help Daddy plant his tomatoes....

She stands back and admires her work...
Kayla decides it is her turn to help...

They both decide it is more fun to play on the swing...

Planting Herbs (Few Weeks Ago)

The girls helped me plant the herb garden for my kitchen window sill a few weeks ago... they really enjoyed getting their hands messy in the dirt this year...

Getting everything ready, and Kayla decides she wants to wear my gloves instead of her Dora gloves!
Then instead of putting the dirt in the pots, she starts putting it on her shirt... of course my little mess maker! She does a good job cleaning up too, so I can't really complain.
Good thing we did it outside, Mommy would not be happy if that dirt was on our floor!

All the girls happy to get one project done with no tears!

Alexis put the rest of the soil into our big veggie garden bed Daddy made us this year, she's a great little helper!

Nephews Baseball Game

After the Walk and Roll - we ventured out to a few innings of my nephews baseball game - they are brothers and on the same team. They both are very talented athletes and had a great time at their game!

Getting ready to run in to 3rd and then on to home!

It was a great relaxing day outside!

Walk and Roll

Me, the girls, my nephew, niece and sister walked in the American Cancer Society Walk and Roll held nearby a few weeks ago... This is us, happy and smiling before the walk...

My sister roller bladed with a friend....
Alot of the walkers were in front of us... we didn't want to hold them up pushing the double stroller the 5 miles.
The first time we saw this sign we laughed a little.... but about the 4th time we saw it, we were not too happy :0)
After the walk...

Of course Alexis was still in good spirits, she only walked a little of the way and was being pushed the rest. She and Kayla loved the scenery though and we had a great morning for a great cause.

Kaylas Birthday Picnic

I was fortunate enough to get the day off of both jobs to share Kaylas Birthday with her... and although much of the morning was spent doing some more spring cleaning, we were able to get away at lunch time for a wonderful picnic in the park!

The girls were not too happy that Mommy made them eat before playing at the park... in the picture above they were watching all of the other kids play.... needless to say, neither of them ate very much lunch, but it was Kaylas birthday so it was ok.

How could a mama resist that cheesy little smile?
Such a big girl now that she's 2!

Having a great time at the park...

We had an even better time chasing the squirrel around in the field by the park... it is the little thing you see on top of the table, but it was having a lot of fun with Alexis and Kayla!

Sitting on the stage together... right next to the park is the big band shell where they have outdoor concerts in the summer. The girls had a lot of fun singing "best of both worlds" and pretending that they were Hanna Montana!
We will definitely come back this summer when there are actually performers on the stage!

Kaylas Birthday Morning

Kayla had a lot of fun waking up to the balloons downstairs for her 2nd Birthday....

Airport Field Trip

I was able to take the morning off from work to go on a field trip with Alexis's class (Kayla came too!) Alexis was a big girl riding the bus by herself...

The kids getting ready to take a picture... Alexis was looking for Kayla to make sure she was ok...
Best friends...
One of the airplanes was taking off outside on the very rainy and cold day...
We only got to stay outside for a little while before it started pouring!
The kids were content coloring and eating snacks while waiting for their turn inside the planes pilot seat...

Me and my girls by one of the cool planes...
Flying the plane... Alexis was having fun and didn't break anything fortunately! I had to keep Kayla very close so she didn't break the plane!
Of course they found our friends baby to amuse them and keep them busy! They both love babies so much. We had a great day despite the heavy rain.
