Decorating Easter Eggs

We had a good time decorating Easter Eggs this year, I just wish we could have done it outside. Kayla was a little bit excited and really wanted to get her hands in the different color cups. It turned out ok though and we are really looking forward to Easter!

Brunch with the Easter Bunny

My niece's student council did a fundraiser for their class - pictures and brunch with the Easter Bunny along with an Easter Egg hunt. The girls were a little nervous about the Easter Bunny at first, but then I told them they couldn't find any of the eggs unless they took a picture with him!
Some of my nephews were there too....
Kayla finding the eggs.... this is her first Easter Egg hunt, we didn't make it out to any last year.
They also had a lot of very fun games that the girls got to play and get prizes for completing... Mommy and Aunty Chrissy helped the girls with carrying the egg on the spoon...

My nephew with his face painted. The girls didn't want their faces painted, but all of the boys got them done.
Kayla was so excited to be running out in the open, she LOVED it!
The girls had fun playing with the big ball with my niece.
They found another game that they really liked.... Bozo buckets! Alexis in the background is so excited because she made it into one of the farther buckets and the girl is giving her a high five!
Picking their prizes for a job well done. And of course Kayla attacking (or hugging) her big sister!

Alexis Dentist Visit...

Alexis did a great job at the dentist this time... she didn't cry at all while the hygenist cleaned her teeth, but when the doctor came in she got a little nervous. She finally let him look at her teeth (he said they are perfect!) and do his job though. We were very proud of her!

Museum and Dinner

We made it out to the Field Museum last week where the girls had a lot of fun and we were all glad to be out of the house.

They loved seeing all of the dinosaurs...

Alexis showing us how big the Dinosaurs are....
They always walk nicely and look out for eachother when they are holding hands! Makes it much easier on Mommy too!
They enjoyed playing in the dirt with the bugs.... (yuck), maybe had to pretend that I enjoyed it too!

Outside taking a walk to the car in the big city... the girls really enjoyed it, we will have to make more trips to the City this year.
Posing for a picture... then off to dinner....

Kayla gives me "the look" - are you serious Mom, you want me to take a picture with you?
"OK, lets get the pictures taken and over with" - she thinks to herself....

Little Miss Independent, happiest just to be by herself!

Out on the Town this Month

Last night my sisters and I took our Mom to a cooking class at a local community college. Not that she needs it, she's a fantastic cook, we just thought it would be fun.... and it was!

That's what I call multi-tasking, cooking and tasting at the same time!
Checking to see if our chorizo spring rolls were done... we got to make some great different appetizers for the class.
The head chef helping us prepare our pastry puffs....

All us girls (there were about 12 other people in the class also) gather together with the chefs for a picture. They were very nice and took good care of us, they even invited us back for another class on the house! We had a great time.

Earlier this month my sister and I went to a Fundraising Gala for It's All About Kids and I got to get dressed up! When I came downstairs in a dress Alexis said "Mommy, you look pretty, are you playing dress up?" It was pretty funny! I don't know how long it's been since I've worn a dress...

At the Gala the Bucket Boys performed... the lighting wasn't very good so I couldn't get a video, but those guys are soooooooo talented. I was very impressed with their ability to perform. We had a good night... unfortunately we didn't win any of the silent auctions that we tried for, but that's alright because they raised more money for the kids!

Another fun Basketball Game

My nephew waiting for his turn to play.... very patiently...
He's the second one in the picture with the yellow band around his waste - going towards the ball, he was so cute and had such a great game!

He was on fuego! He made 3 baskets throughout the game, he's a pretty good little basketball player!
Waiting on defense....
Already knows how to blockout his opponent (even if they aren't going for the rebound!)
I don't know what happened to this picture, but he must have been running really fast to get the ball!

My girls hugging their cousin, congratulating him on a great game!
His brother cheering him on, what a cutie!
His other brother with Kayla.... Alexis is in the background checking out the rest of the kids warming up for their game... she's getting pretty good at dribbling, I think when she's ready, she may enjoy playing basketball (which mommy would LOVE!)
Alexis with her Godparents at the game... Of course they got her treats so she was a very happy camper!
