Kayla does love to look at books... she points at the words and pictures as if she knew what they were! She is our funny little girl... if you ask her what a horse says, she will tell you, but then any animal noise you ask for after that will be the sound of a horse! I haven't been able to spend as much time reading to Kayla as I was able to with Alexis, but I guess that is par for the course of a 2nd child....
Possibly the next spelling bee champion? We were amazed that Alexis was able to learn how to spell our last name so quickly! When reading through the pre school prepartion information we were given, we started to try to teach Alexis how to memorize her address and phone number (I didn't want to have to be the one to teach her how to spell our last name!), but since she picked those up so quickly, we thought we would see if she could learn how to spell our last name also... She picked it up very quickly! She can identify all of the sign language alphabet, but is not yet able to do them consecutively (you can see her in the video trying to do the letter "k" as she is spelling our last name). Yes, to every mother your child is a genius, now I understand that. Every time one of the girls picks up something new to them, it amazes me!
