Thursday - Nephews Pre School Graduation
Our nephew and Godson graduated from preschool last week... even though he was not feeling well, he still did a great job!

My sister's family....
Brothers... aren't they so cute!
Girls Recently
Girls playing outside... all of us have been recovering from strep throat... it actually isn't that bad and just has felt more like a long drawn out cold.
Kayla still not quite herself.... she is now getting better than she was in these pictures, thank goodness!
Alexis... a trooper of course... she was the last to get strep throat and held out almost a week after the rest of us.
Going for a walk to get some fresh air and play a little....she was extremely happy because she got a juice box which she does not get very often!
Alexis loves her swing set, it is her favorite thing to do. She loves trying to swing all by herself like a big girl!
Back inside for a cool treat! Sharing some of Mommy's icecream!

All done playing peeka boo and tuckered out for the evening!
Kayla still not quite herself.... she is now getting better than she was in these pictures, thank goodness!
Kayla feeling a little bit better... loves to play peekaboo with Mommy's curtains and loves looking outside. One of her favorite words to say is "outside", of couse only Mommy and Daddy can understand it though!

Kayla's First Birthday 5/9/2007
The girls and I had a great evening for Kayla's first Birthday. Alexis always loves to lay with her sister whether it is when she is drinking from her bottle (almost done with), or from her sippy cup....

Kayla has started walking alot... today she walked from our entertainment center to the kitchen about 10 times.... she was determined to make it the entire way...
Walking from the couch to her toys.... she is walking more everyday!...
The girls walking together... Alexis loves to help her little sister out....

Singing Happy Birthday to Kayla (Daddy was at work...)
Kayla and Alexis both clapped when we were done....
Then Alexis wanted to help the "Birthday Girl" eat her cake... Alexis has a hard enough time eating by herself, that is when it comes to her veggies.... this tells me she knows what she is doing!
Kayla using the "sign language" for "more" - she is telling Alexis she wants more with her hands... she knows "more", "all done", and "milk" in sign language.... From all of the books I have read about sign language and babies, most of them say they can start learning sign language at around 6 months, but mine didn't pick it up until they were around a year, and I still think they are pretty smart! Kayla can tell me when she wants juice, milk, nap, and food with sign language, I'm still working with her on the sign for "change my diaper"!

Kermit the Toad
Daddy caught a Toad for Alexis to play with outside the other day....
She was hopping and ribitting(?) around the deck with the toad....
We tried to show Kayla the toad.....
She wanted to hold it and taste it (yuck!)...
When she figured out we weren't going to let her do either, she got bored and decided to play with the toys on the deck instead... she's doing a good job trying to walk now.... not quite on her own yet, but taking more consecutive independent steps. She'll be 1 next week! I can hardly believe it.
Alexis decided she wanted to play with the toad on her swing set... he wasn't too excited about that...

Then we let him go back in the flower bed (don't mind the big weed that still needs to be plucked right by the toad...)
Last Weekend - Baseball Game
Last weekend the girls and I went to my nephews first baseball game. He was too cute and did a great job.
