Princesses and Potty Traning

This weekend while Mommy and Daddy were trying to do our taxes, Alexis wanted to hang out in the loft with us..... on the top bookshelf!

She thought it was quite funny!

On Sunday we took Alexis to see Princesses on Ice as a reward for doing so well potty training! She is now wearing big girl underwear! Kayla stayed with Auntie Lou Lou and Uncle Mike... before we left I remembered Alexis wearing this same outfit Kayla was in and decided to show Alexis in her scrapbook... This was the only picture I got inside (not very good), shortly after I took this picture they said there were no pictures allowed during the show. I refrained from taking more even though there were a lot of people sneaking pictures during the show!
Alexis clapping, so happy to see Cinderella. She is her favorite, well Cimerella (that's how she says it) and Ariel!

We even got to take Alexis out to eat after the show... just Mommy, Daddy and Alexis! She had a great time, so did Mommy and Daddy!

The girls 1/24/07

I came home from work today to find out that Daddy had done the girls hair! He put 3 pig tails on Alexis and one on Kayla! They looked too cute to Mommy!

She loves giving kisses and saying "dada", she tries so hard to say "mama", but it just won't come out yet!

Friday 1/19/07

On Friday morning, we were able to go over to my brother Joe and his wife Amy's house to watch Emily and Andrew while Amy had the baby... The kids had a great time playing together...

When Emily and Andrew got up from their nap they played very nicely with Kayla while Alexis finished her nap...
After Alexis finally woke up, they all enjoyed a nice snack together! It was the first time Alexis has ever had chocolate pudding... she thought it was the funniest thing that she could eat chocolate with a spoon!

Snow Day - Monday 1/15/07

Alexis was pretty excited to go out and play in the snow with Daddy! She wanted to build a snow man (but didn't last long enough outside in the cold!)

Getting tired pulling the sled! Daddy pulled Mommy and Alexis in the sled around the yard, it's the first time Mommy has been on a sled in years and the very first time for Alexis!

Comfortably back inside playing dress up... she wanted to keep the snow pants on! Daddy made her some hot chocolate, she was very excited to be drinking it!

Bears Game - Sunday 1/14/07

On Sunday we had some family over for dinner and to watch the Bears Game... I heard it was a good game! I was busy cooking and didn't get to enjoy the game too much.

Collin and Holly were nice enough to clean up all of the dishes for me! What good kids! Holly was with us most of the weekend, and she was very helpful! I hope my girls are as nice as she is when they get bigger!

Girls Night Out - Saturday 1/13/07

My niece Holly was nice enough to spend the night over at our house with the girls while Mommy got to have a girls night out with some sisters and Mom!

Amy, Cyndi and my Mom had dinner at Ju Rin (the best Japanese restaurant around), it was a lot of fun!

My sister Chris joined us at Blue Razz after dinner... we had a good time dancing! Yes, I was dancing which I haven't done in who knows how long!
My sister in law Amy was a great sport! She is due with her third child any day now and she stayed out with us pretty late!

Children's Museum

We recently made it out to the Children's Museum at Navy Pier. The kids had a great time. There was a lot to do for both Kayla and Alexis, we were very impressed, we will definitely have to go back sometime.
They had a lot of different artistic benches throughout the museum, Alexis wanted to sit on each of them!
Alexis had a great time playing in the Water Works exhibit... it was very hands on, she got a kick of watching how the water flowed.

She got to dress up like a butterfly and fly around in one of the exhibits.
In this exhibit, it was very dark. She had a great time digging up dinosaur bones with Daddy though! This was one of Mommy's favorites. Alexis looked like such a big girl sitting in front of the clay "sculpting"!

and play in the old cabin house kitchen....

Kayla liked this little "baby pond"... she was so cute looking in the mirror... and trying to climb out of the hole!
Relaxing after a tiring morning!

Yeah, I'm ready for more! I can't get enough of that big beautiful smile!
