The Dells - 9/23/06

Last weekend we took Pa to the Dells for his 60th Birthday! I took so many pictures! It took me a very long time to sort through them all... We had a great time swimming, playing games, golfing and eating of course!

Here's Nana and Pa with ALL 10 of their Grandchildren in front of the Resort we stayed at!



We all had breakfast together before checking into our Condo!
It was a beautiful place to stay with plenty of room for all of us.

Kayla just hanging out on the floor with her toys... she couldn't really do much, but she had fun and was a very good girl!

The Dells 9/23/06 - Swimming

The resort we stayed at had an indoor waterpark with a lot of slides and a great area for very little kids... all of the kids had a great time swimming!

Pa walking with Alexis in the toddler area... two of the little slides Alexis liked to go down by herself are in the back ground! Tony and I went down some of the bigger slides, they were a lot of fun!

Some of the kids watching others in the "lazy river"... not so lazy if you don't have a raft! I squatted around the whole thing with Alexis in my arms looking for a raft and boy were my legs sore!
Kayla mostly hung out in her carrier with Mommy while the rest of the kids were swimming.

The Dells 9/23/06 - Playing Around

The kids had a great time playing this Hullabaloo game with Auntie Robin! It is a really great game, especially for toddlers! Alexis knows all of her shapes, colors etc, but she doesn't really know how to follow directions very well yet!


She decided to play her own game!

Us big kids got to play cards while the little ones played in the jacuzzi! Of course Tony is antagonizing his sister Robin about skipping her while playing Phase 10!
Then we all join in.... Robin was in trouble!

Then they all crashed!

The Dells 9/23/06 - Golfing

Sunday morning some of us went outside to the mini golf course while the others stayed in and swam some more!
I have Kayla in the carrier again and got to golf one handed, pretty interesting!
Alexis had fun hitting the ball into the water over and over and over and over!
Then she decided to try to hit it for real with Daddy's help!

Where is Baby's Mommy 9/17/06

Today, Alexis and Mommy
had a little disagreement...
it went a little like this.....
"My Kayla", "No, my Kayla",
"My Kayla","no my Kayla"...
you get the point!
So at bedtime, we decided it was
Alexis turn to read Kayla her bedtime story....



Mommy and Daddy were both shocked to see Alexis actually read one of her books to her sister (one of her favorite books from
Aunti Jackie and Uncle Jason)!
After Alexis read the book a second time, we had to get the video camera
out to record this occasion




(yes... we know she can't actually
read the words, but to realize she
is actually paying attention when
we are reading to her is a great feeling!) She is so proud of herself
to have actually read "her Kayla" a
book!

She felt like such a big girl... Daddy actually was recording when he asked her to spell her name, which she did, but the tape cut out before she said the S! We are so proud of our little 2 year old!

Pa's 60th Birthday

The kids all gather around Kayla at Pa's 60th Birthday party! They are all so good with the baby!

Pa waits as the kids line up to give him gifts.... All the kids gave clues to what his actual gift was.... a family trip to the Dells!

Kayla 4 Months Old!

Kayla says "Yeah! I made it to 4 months!" She is so smiley these days! Our girls 4 months ago.... look how much they've grown!

We went out to dinner to celebrate Kayla's 4 Month Birthday... Alexis loves to color! Gosh, this gives me a little glimpse of what she'll look like doing homework someday!
