7/23/06 - Birthday/Baptism Party - Setting Up

It was a hectic morning getting everything set up for the party before Church... but we got it all done, mostly! The banner I made the girls said "God Bless Kayla" and Happy 2nd Birthday Alexis!

The Moon Walk was supposed to be at our house and set up by 10am, it still wasn't there when we left for Church at 10:40 and we were almost late for the Baptism! We ended up having to get ahold of the company after Church and they still didn't get to our house to set it up until around 1:30pm!

Alexis was giving Auntie Cyndi a hard time getting her dressed! She kept hiding under the covers from her! She looked so cute and comfy though we were laughing!
The Birthday Girl! All smiles!

7/23/06 - Birthday/Baptism - Church

Kayla was baptized by the same Priest as Alexis at our Church during 11am Mass on Sunday morning.

He poured the Holy Water right over her eyes.... Kayla didn't like that too much!
She calmed down quickly though!

The Kwasniewski Family

Our family with Kayla's God Parents (My sister Cyndi and our friend Larry)

7/23/06 - Birthday/Baptism Party Pictures

Although most of the little kids stayed inside most of the time, we were very lucky it was such a nice day! Our house would have been pretty crowded if it rained with almost 70 people in attendance!

It was great to see some of my friends I used to work with... Christine and her husband were there with their twins, Laurel with her 9 month old son and husband and Amy with her husband and two boys Ijon and Isaac.

Auntie Cyndi hanging out with Kayla in a much quieter (and less overwhelming for her) loft!
The big Bouncy House! Whenever we would ask Alexis what she wanted for her Birthday, she would say "Jump High"... she loves these Moon Walks!
Tony's brother Mark with his youngest son Gavyn...
Sarah bouncing with Alexis... Alexis adores her!
Chelsey's turn! She was trying to bounce with Alexis and my friend Lisa's daughter Maddy!

Playing the Bag game! My neighbors were nice enough to let us use their boards too!

Caught with her hand in the candy jar! Alexis loves M&M's... she calls them "M's" and asks for them on a daily basis! Although she doesn't get them often, I had to get some for her Birthday! The white M's said "God Bless Kayla" the pink M's said "Happy Birthday"!

7/23/06- Birthday/Baptism Party - Farewell

My sisters family (the Brzeczek's) were nice enough to make it out to the Baptism and Birthday Party even though they still had packing to do and preparation for their move to Arizona! It meant a lot to Tony and I to have them there! It was very emotional to see them leave and we will all miss them very much...

The Brzeczek's (minus their oldest son Michael) with my Mom and Dad, what a beautiful family!

7/23/06 Birthday/Baptism Party - Cake and Ice Cream

After the emotional farewell to my sister and her family, we thought it would be a good time for cake and ice cream! I was upset about the cake because it was not supposed to have any color on it, it was supposed to be all cream including the writing and the leaves, but oh well... it was still edible!

Alexis gets ready to have Happy Birthday sung to her....
She was so cute when everyone started singing, she looked at Tony with a shy look and buried her head in his shoulder, gave him a kiss... then stood up and blew the candles out!Birthday Girl steals a taste!

Sunday 7/23 Birthday/Baptism Opening Presents

The first gift Alexis opened was a soccer ball from Nana and Pa... I thought we lost her for sure! She was so excited to play with it!
Kayla sitting patiently opening presents! She was pretty overwhelmed between the party on Saturday and Sunday so this was one of her calmer moments of the weekend.
Aunt Amy and my niece Heather helping Alexis open her presents.
She was also very excited about this dress up stuff she got from her friend Maddy! She's been playing with it every day since her party!
Taking a break from opening presents to have a Cheeto with Aunt Theresa! She brought them especially for Alexis since Mommy doesn't let her have them!
She also loves her new drums from Ijon and Isaac! They are really the cutest drums I have ever seen!

Monday 7/24/06 Playing with Bouncy House

Alexis got her very own Bouncy house for her Birthday! It fits perfectly in our almost finished basement! She was kind of scared of it at first, but once Mommy and Daddy got in with her, she was having a great time!

Jump High!
"Mommy, come down the slide".... Mommy was not so graceful!
Playing with her new favorite game, Alexis was trying to catch the butterflies with two nets at once! Kayla just smiles at the funny Elephant!

Brzeczek's Bon Voyage 7/22/06

My sister Barb, her husband Mike, and their children (Adam, Sarah and Michael) moved to Arizona on Sunday... we went to their house on Saturday for a going away party, it was a great time had by all... although, very sad! They will be missed greatly by not only their family, but all of their friends and their community.
