O Christmas Tree 11/28/06

We went to pick out our Christmas Tree yesterday (good call Daddy, since it was raining and the tree would have been wet if we went today!)

Alexis was so excited to have the Christmas Tree in our Living room! She was worried when we were driving home with it on the top of our car she said "Mommy, Christmas Tree will fall off!" I had to reassure her that it was secure and would not fall off.

Alexis trying to fix her messy hair for the picture! (we don't know what we are going to do about her messy hair!)

Alexis is so fond of the big Santa, Snowman and Teddy bear at the end of our block that Daddy couldn't resist picking up a big Santa for her to bring home when they were at the store today!
Alexis all tangled up in the Christmas lights!

Alexis (our Angel), gets to top the tree with an angel!

The girls snuggle under a blanket together while Mommy starts to decorate the tree... (I can't believe they both smiled at the same time!)
Kayla just hung out on the floor the majority of the time while Mommy made dinner and Daddy put the lights on the tree... she is such a happy baby these days... This is Mommy's favorite age!

Alexis got to put her first ornament on the tree all by herself! She did a very good job and has been a great listener not touching the tree and decorations!

Kayla Playing 11/29/06

While Alexis was taking her nap today and I was making our Christmas Cards.... Kayla was drinking her bottle.... all of a sudden, it got very quiet. I stood up to see Kayla finally rolling over and reaching for her basket of toys under the coffee table!

She was determined to get her toys!
She pulled the basket out a little bit.... then was finally able to reach her toys!

She realized I was taking pictures and looked at me to smile! (yes she is only 6 1/2 months and her 6-9 months clothes are already too small on her!) She is getting so big!
Then she went back to playing with her toys! I think I enjoy this age the best... she is so playful now and eager to explore all of her surroundings!

Christmas Lights 11/25/06

Alexis had fun helping Daddy hang some of our Christmas Lights this weekend! We still have a long way to go (I need to make some garland and wreaths this week!)

She wanted to stand on the step stool to help Daddy hang the stars....
Kayla watched and played from the front door!
Alexis played with the deer and Christmas tree on our front porch tonight... she loves the Christmas lights this year! She gets so excited everytime we leave the house at night and wants to see the Big Santa, Teddy Bear and Snowman at the end of our block!
Hopefully we'll get the rest of our decorations and lights up by the end of this week!

Happy Thanksgiving! 11/23/06

A Thanksgiving prayer from my Dad:
Blessed by you, Lord our God
Through your goodness we enjoy the fruits of the earth
and share the gift of loving family and friends
We ask your blessing on our family,
our home and the food we are about to eat.
We say thanks for all who helped to prepare this meal.
We thank you also for the love and the joy we all share
today and for your love of each of us.
Make us mindful of those who are lonesome or who will
go hungry today and help us to show our thanks by the way
that we live.
We ask these things through Jesus Christ, your Son our
Lord, who lives and reigns with you forever and ever! AMEN!
Hanging out with Daddy before dinner was ready!
Alexis was very excited about Turkey Day! She was jumping around all morning saying "gobble, gobble!"
My nephew, isn't he such a cutie pie! He gets cuter everyday!
Alexis with Papa taking a rest before saying prayers and eating dinner!

Happy Thanksgiving! 11/23/06

Kayla, what a cute centerpiece! She is finally sitting up on her own, still not really wanting to roll over though!

My little sweetie pie!
One of my brothers and a couple sisters getting the turkey ready for carving! It was so delicious!
My Mom actually following the Doctors orders and giving us kids directions on what needed to be done!
Some of the family getting everything ready in the kitchen...
My Brother Joe has been carving our Thanksgiving Turkey since I think he was about 14 years old!
Lou Lou making the gravy - with Mom's supervision from her chair of course!

Yummy Yummy, everything was so delicious!
My sister in law is known for eating the fat from the bird (literally!)

Alexis was so sweet when we got home, she got on the couch and said, "Mommy, lay down with me and the blanket!" It was a tiring day for her, but we feel very blessed to have been able to share it with family!

Monday 11/13/06 - Little Polish Princess!

Alexis was so excited about her new hat and gloves and her new coat from her cousin Emily! She wanted to try them on together along with her new Candy cane socks! What a little polack!

What Mom? I don't match?Oh well, I'll dance anyway!

Yes, it may be a little early, but we've already started to listen to Christmas music and get some Christmas decorations out! Alexis wanted to take a picture with Santa! In her too little for her snowman shirt that she did not want to take off!

Sunday 11/12/06

After Church on Sunday, I took the kids out to the mall to get a head start on my Christmas shopping! Alexis got to play for a little while, she had so much fun just running around free!
Kayla stayed by Mommy smiley as can be!
My happy baby! I think she is over her cold now, and it actually wasn't that bad, except that she wasn't sleeping at night!

Alexis gets her first glimpse of "Santa Claus"! Kayla strains to see what Alexis is so excited about!

Just enough time for a "Cheesy Face" picture before the ride begins!
Alexis did such a good job eating her lunch that she got to ride on the Merry Go Round!
Mommy and Kayla even went on the Merry Go Round! I was afraid Kayla was going to get sick, she had just finished eating her lunch too! Yummy, strained peas (her favorite so far!).

Saturday 11/11/06

My nephew Phillip came in from Colorado for a quick visit! We all met up with him for breakfast on Saturday morning...
Phillip with my girls.... the scary thing is, I remember him when he was their age!
Kayla very interested in my nieces beautiful necklace!
Kayla with Aunti Chrissy and the back of Alexis head...
Anthony shares his bacon with Alexis, what a nice cousin! He is such a sweetie pie, Alexis loves playing with him!
